Artist's Menu seeks to tackle what resources artist might need or benefit from in their profession, but also what these resources might mean and how they can be beneficial for communities involved. The whole project comes to being when people gather and present what they can offer. There resources vary from accommodation, food, material, know hows, stories etc. So it is about mutual aid. Throughout the collaboration all other resources come to being and both artist and community bring and take something of value to them. Exchange happens on different levels and we are trying to map it so we can see what resources today's artist need to work and create. Note that these are coming outside of the institutional framework of grant making and fund seeking. Individual engaged are able to seek fund for them selves, but the project itself is based on alternative, self organized modes of doing and making.
